"Last night, during the National Point-In-Time Count here in Onondaga County, something powerful happened.

Together with House Calls for the Homeless, In My Father’s Kitchen joined more than 50 volunteers canvassing communities across Central New York searching for, checking on, and connecting with our friends living outside in the cold.

IMFK teams went out with one mission:

Not just to count people… but to see people.

To encourage.

To listen.

To offer shelter options.

To bring compassion with understanding.

We were out until just before midnight, visiting more than 25 locations and connecting with 10 individuals bringing hand warmers, drinks (Hot Chocolate), treats, comfort, dignity, and most importantly, reminding people that there is a way forward.
