Syracuse For Jesus
Coming this summer. Multiple ministries and churches are planning a missions trip right here in Syracuse.
Starting August 1st to the 9th, 2025, multiple street teams and volunteers will be going out to the streets of Syracuse to share the gospel and pray with the community. We will be serving, feeding, praying and being the hands and feet of Jesus.
We invite you to join with us and be the Church united. We are calling every local church, ministry, house church, college and high school bible club - to unite as one body and bring the gospel to the surrounding area.
Below are the current churches and ministries uniting together and answering the call. We need the Body of Christ to go and make disciples, prayer partners and volunteers to share the Love of Christ as one. Fundraiser Breakfast
Fundraiser event for Syracuse For Jesus local missions event in August was held at Encounter Christian Fellowship in Syracuse on Saturday June 21.
From August 1st to 9th, 2025, a united group of churches and ministries will take to the streets of Syracuse with one mission: to share the Gospel, pray with neighbors, and serve the community with the love of Jesus. Each day, street teams and volunteers will be actively feeding, praying, and ministering as the hands and feet of Christ.
To help fund this Holy Spirit-led outreach, Syracuse For Jesus held a Breakfast Fundraiser—a time of fellowship, food, and faith. All proceeds went toward essential outreach supplies, including signs, banners, gospel tracts, food, water, blessing bags, and more.

Great Commission Training
Day of training to live out the great commission in Syracuse on Saturday May 31 on the westside of Syracuse! After the training - the group gathered went out to the streets of Syracuse for a prayer walk and evangelism, followed up with outreach in the community - with a barbecue, more evangelism, and a service tent. The day-long event was led by Adam Bregou, who leads a Discovery Bible study group locally, with practical evangelism and discipleship incorporated into the program.

Ashley Sunada was featured on June 11
-Founder/Director of Light of the World Ballet
Ashley Rollinson Sunada from Syracuse, NY, was trained at Syracuse School of Dance & Center of Ballet and Dance Arts (Deborah Boughton). Upon high school graduation she entered Ballet Magnificat’s Trainee program in Jackson, MS. After one year she was promoted to Company Member and danced professionally with them for six years.
In 2005, she began Light of the World Ballet Company & School, Syracuse, NY which she presently directs. She continues performing internationally, conducting workshops and master classes, choreographing and writing several ballets, and directing LWB Company, Trainee Program, and School.
Ashley, and her husband, Gary, reside in Syracuse with their two young sons, David and Joseph.
Every second Wednesday of the month at 12N, Christians for Syracuse hosts a community luncheon at the Empire Buffet in Dewitt. This meeting is open to everyone in the community, so please join us! Cost: $15

Today, we had the honor of supporting Housing Visions with a clean-out project and tackled some much-needed clean-up on the beautiful Loop the Lake Trail. Nothing like the peaceful view of the lake during lunch to help our participants breathe deep, reflect, and find a moment of calm away from the hustle of the city.
A huge THANK YOU to our amazing team — Kevin, George, Shania, and Kat — for showing up with heart and bringing dignity to the streets.
At the end of the day, it’s not about a handout — it’s about a hand up. And today, we lifted each other higher."

July 12th Street Training
Another day of training to live out the great commission - 10A Saturday July 12 at Encounter Christian Fellowship in Syracuse, 705 Hamilton Street. Adam Bregou, who conducts evangelism/discipleship classes, while also incorporating the Discovery Bible method, will lead training - with those in attendance going out afterwards in the community for prayer walks and evangelism/discipleship.
Life Matters Training Center
Life Matters Training Center in Canastota, NY is a Gospel-centered, pro-life ministry that seeks to engage young Christians as well as the entire Church in ministry. We do this by taking individuals and teams out on the street to participate in hands-on ministry for themselves. We frequently take teams to local areas to pray and engage women outside abortion clinics, work with mobile ultrasound units, educate the general population on the value and importance of life, helping to promote and come alongside pregnancy centers, etc. These outreaches give us opportunities to connect with people and share Jesus’ love. We are actively recruiting young people to spend time interning with us where they can learn how to make their life matter for eternity by living it for Jesus now.
